What does Madison Action Day mean to us?
"Madison Action Day is the chance we have, once every two years, to experience the energy of having all the people from WISDOM together in one place. It is our chance to celebrate our values, to embrace our diversity, and to let the decision-makers know that there are a lot of us and that we are from everywhere!"
-David Liners WISDOM Executive Director

"Greater understanding is born the moment we hear each others stories."
-Kate Gaines NAOMI Community Organizer

WISDOM Affiliates
As CUSH, Congregations United to Serve Humanity, we are a coalition of congregations bound by our commitment to social justice. We believe in centering the voices of those most affected by issues in our community. We practice our faith by working together to change systems which harm our neighbors.
MICAH (Milwaukee Inner-City Congregations Allied for Hope) is a multi-racial, interfaith organization committed to addressing social justice issues that have an impact on the community and on the members of MICAH congregations. MICAH’s goal is to empower people to act together in pursuit of justice and to organize so that people of many traditions can come together with one voice for justice.
SOPHIA (Stewards of Prophetic, Hopeful, Intentional Action) is dedicated to dialogue with individuals, agencies and public officials to stimulate creative and effective efforts to improve our communities in Waukesha County. SOPHIA addresses social injustices in our increasingly fragmented world. We join hands with others to bring effective change rather than isolated self interest.
The Racine Interfaith Coalition (RIC) is an organization of congregations committed to promoting social justice through training and empowerment of people of faith.
RIC was organized in 1993 in Racine, Wisconsin. As we celebrate more than 20 years of social justice we invite you to join us today.
MOSES (Madison Organizing in Strength, Equality and Solidarity) helps congregations take the next step, from direct service to transformative justice. Rather than simply providing assistance, we form a community of neighbors who can together change public policy to make our communities places where everyone has a chance to succeed.
